Lockwood 202 Exterior Round Corner Plate - Privacy Indicating Emergency Turn & Lower Cylinder | Satin Stainless Steel
The Lockwood 202 Series Exterior Plate with Privacy Indicating Emergency Turn and Lower Cylinder is part of the distinguished Artefact range of round corner plate door furniture - designed, assembled and customised in Australia for the Australian market. This specialist exterior plate combines a privacy indicating emergency turn displaying occupied/vacant status from outside, with a Lockwood 570 Series oval cylinder hole positioned lower on the plate - providing both keyed staff access and occupancy indication on a single clean exterior face with no lever or pull handle.
The absence of a lever or pull handle on the exterior face makes this plate suited to push-side entry doors or applications where a separate external access device is installed independently. The lower cylinder position accommodates the plate layout alongside the privacy indicator. The privacy indicating emergency turn allows staff or carers to check occupancy status and enter in an emergency without damaging the furniture. The cylinder must be ordered separately as it is not included.
The 202 Series features the same 162 x 162mm plate profile as the 200 Series but with 10mm radius corners. The plate pairs back-to-back with the 203 Series interior plate (round corner) and is compatible with Lockwood Selector 3770 and Synergy 3570 Series Mortice Locks, latches and push/pull doors. Supplied in Satin Stainless Steel in both left and right hand.

Helpful Tips
- No lever or pull handle on this plate: This is a plate-only configuration with privacy indicator and lower cylinder. If a lever is required on the exterior face, refer to Function 14 (20214NN/96). If a pull handle is also required, refer to Function 47 (20247NA/P1RSS).
- Lower cylinder position: The cylinder hole is positioned lower on the plate than the standard position to accommodate the privacy indicating emergency turn in the layout. Confirm this suits your door and lock configuration before ordering.
- Cylinder not included: This plate accepts a Lockwood 570 Series oval cylinder (32mm H x 18mm W) but the cylinder is not supplied - order it separately to suit your key system.
- How the privacy indicator works: When the inside occupant engages the turn snib, the indicator on this exterior plate changes to show the room is occupied. When the snib is released it returns to vacant.
- Emergency release: The exterior plate allows staff or carers to open the door in an emergency using a coin, flat tool or dedicated release key without damaging the furniture.
- Exterior plate - pairs with 203 Series: This is the outside face plate. It must be paired with a 203 Series interior plate (round corner) - not a 201 Series (square corner).
- Concealed fixings: This plate uses concealed fixing studs. The paired interior 203 plate must use visible fixings - confirm this when ordering the interior plate.
- Handing: Determined by which side the hinges are on when facing the door from outside. Left hand = hinges on the left.
- Thick doors: For doors 45-55mm, order long fixing screws SP2000-208 separately.
- Non-returnable: This item cannot be returned once ordered - confirm handing, cylinder compatibility and door configuration before purchasing.
