The Lockwood 202 Series Exterior Plate with Privacy Indicating Emergency Turn and P1 Pull Handle is part of the distinguished Artefact range of round corner plate door furniture - designed, assembled and customised in Australia for the Australian market. This exterior plate configuration is specifically designed for privacy rooms such as accessible bathrooms, ensuites and amenity facilities, combining a P1 stainless steel pull handle with a privacy indicating emergency turn that displays the room's occupied or vacant status to those outside.
The privacy indicating emergency turn allows the inside occupant to engage a turn snib for privacy, while the indicator on the exterior face clearly shows whether the room is occupied or vacant. An emergency release function is also incorporated, allowing the door to be opened from the outside in an emergency without damaging the furniture - critical for accessible and public facility applications.
The 202 Series features the same 162 x 162mm plate profile as the 200 Series but with 10mm radius corners, giving a softer, contemporary aesthetic. Concealed fixings at four points provide a clean exterior face. Compatible with Lockwood Synergy 3570 and Selector 3770 Series Mortice Locks, latches, and push/pull doors. Supplied in Satin Stainless Steel in both left and right hand.

- Exterior plate - pairs with 203 Series: This is the outside face plate. It must be paired with a 203 Series interior plate (round corner) - not a 201 Series (square corner).
- How the privacy indicator works: When the occupant engages the inside turn snib, the indicator on this exterior plate changes to show the room is occupied. When the snib is released, the indicator returns to vacant. No key is required to read the status.
- Emergency release: The exterior plate incorporates an emergency release - the door can be opened from outside in an emergency (e.g. if an occupant is incapacitated) using a coin, flat tool or dedicated release key, without damaging the furniture.
- Concealed fixings: This plate uses concealed fixing studs, not visible screws. The paired interior 203 plate must use visible fixings - confirm pairing before ordering.
- Handing: Determined by which side the hinges are on when facing the door from outside. Left hand = hinges on the left.
- 202 vs 200 Series: The 202 Series has 10mm radius round corners. If square corners are required, refer to the 200 Series equivalent.
- Thick doors: For doors 45-55mm, order long fixing screws SP2000-208 separately.

- Unlacquered brass finishes will naturally age and change appearance over time. This is not considered a defect.
