Borg Mechanical Digital 5000 Series Easicode Pro Code Change Key - Blue

The Borg 5000 Series Easicode Pro code change key is a genuine Borg service part that unlocks the on-door recoding function on compatible Borg 5000 Series mechanical digital locks. It is the small blue key a locksmith or maintenance technician inserts to put an Easicode Pro lock into code-change mode.

It is for Easicode Pro locks only, it enables on-door code changing, and it is a genuine Borg spare part - the code-change tool, used on the door.

Compatible Locks

This change key is required for the on-door recode procedure on Borg 5000 Series Easicode Pro models such as the BL5001 MG Pro ECP, BL5401 SS DDA ECP, BL5401 DDA MG Pro ECP, BL5701 and BL5771 MG Pro ECP, and the matching BL5701 keypad-only ECP and BL5401 SS DDA keypad-only ECP units.

It does not suit standard (non-ECP) Borg locks, which change code on the bench rather than on the door - see the bench code-change method. The Easicode Pro on-door steps are set out in our Borg ECP code-change guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this change key used for?
It activates the Easicode Pro on-door code changing procedure on compatible Borg 5000 Series ECP locks, so the code can be changed without removing the lock from the door.
Does it suit standard (non-ECP) Borg locks?
No. Standard 5000 Series locks are recoded on the bench with tumblers, not with this key - see the bench method. This key is Easicode Pro only.
Is it supplied with a new lock?
No. The change key is sold separately as a service accessory. Locksmiths and facilities teams usually keep one on hand.

Additional Information

Keep one in the service kit. A change key lives with the maintenance team, not the door. If you manage several Borg mechanical digital locks, one key recodes them all.
On-door is the easy way. The Easicode Pro method is materially quicker than a bench recode. If you expect to change codes even once a year, an ECP lock plus this key is worth it - background in our code-change guide.
Confirm the series before ordering. This key is 5000 Series ECP. The 2000 Series uses its own change key (BL2000ECPCK). Check the model stamped on your lock if unsure.
