Lockwood EXI284-SIL Exidor P/Bar Panic Double Door Silver

The Lockwood EXI284-SIL Exidor P/Bar Panic Double Door Silver is a surface mounted panic exit device for double door applications where fast and reliable emergency egress is required. It is part of the Lockwood Exidor series and is designed for use on non-rebated double doors.

The EXI284-SIL is a double door panic bolt set supplied in Silver finish. It uses push bar operation so the door can be opened quickly from the inside during an emergency, making it suitable for commercial and public access exit doors where panic hardware is required.

This product is commonly specified in Australian commercial and industrial sites where double door exit hardware must provide compliant escape operation, strong mechanical performance and clear emergency exit function. External access trims and extended shoot tube accessories are available separately where the door configuration requires them.

FAQ icon Frequently Asked Questions

Is the EXI284-SIL suitable for rebated double doors?
No. The EXI284-SIL is the double door panic bolt set for non-rebated double doors. Rebated double door applications usually require the correct bolt and latch configuration, such as the EXI285-SIL, depending on the door set.

Can this be used on fire doors?
Yes, the Exidor series is fire rated for use on timber and steel fire door assemblies where the full door assembly is correctly tested, specified and installed. Always confirm fire door approval for the complete door and hardware set.

Is the outside lever trim included?
No. External lever trim is an accessory and must be ordered separately where outside access is required. A suitable Euro profile half cylinder is also required for that trim and is not supplied as part of the panic device.

Additional information icon Additional Information

  • The EXI284-SIL is best suited to non-rebated double doors where both leaves need panic bolt operation.
  • A common specification mistake is selecting a double door panic bolt set without confirming whether the meeting stiles are rebated or non-rebated.
  • For doors exceeding the standard 2440mm height, the extended top shoot tube accessory should be checked during specification.
  • External access from the outside requires a compatible outside access device and cylinder arrangement. These should be matched to the site keying schedule.
  • For fire door applications, through fixings or other project-specific fixing requirements may be needed depending on the door manufacturer and fire test approval.
