Frequently Asked Questions
- Is PHX07 suitable for fire doors?
Yes. It is specified for fire and smoke check door applications. - What is the purpose of multiple locking points?
Top and bottom locking points can improve door stability, reduce door movement, and help maintain consistent engagement in high traffic openings. - Why are spacer plates supplied with the keepers?
Spacer plates allow the keeper position to be fine-tuned so the latches engage correctly, especially on rebated or slightly misaligned doors.
Additional Information
- On fire and smoke doors, reliable latch engagement is critical. Keepers should be adjusted so the door latches every time without slamming.
- Anti-thrust latch designs help resist forced disengagement and can reduce nuisance failures where doors are pushed or pulled under load.
