The Burg-Wächter Key Safe 10 is a compact, battery-free wall-mount key safe for one or two short keys. Its internal hook holds keys up to 7cm in total length, and the die-cast zinc body opens on a 4-dial resettable mechanical combination with 10,000 possible codes. It fixes to any solid wall with the included screws and plugs, and it is the smallest model in the Burg-Wächter key safe range.
This model has no shutter flap over the dials, so mount it in a sheltered position out of direct rain and sun - for an exposed spot the Burg-Wächter Key Safe 30 or Burg-Wächter Key Safe 40 add a sliding flap. - Reset mechanism - Key Safe 10 and 20: The Key Safe 10 and Burg-Wächter Key Safe 20 use an older reset mechanism: a small black cap around the silver reset pin on the inside of the box must be removed before the pin will move, and re-fitted flush afterwards. The Burg-Wächter Key Safe 30, 40 and 50 use a simpler slide-pin reset with no cap. Follow the included instruction sheet carefully.
- Installation: Fix to a solid masonry, brick or timber wall using all four corner holes on the back plate. Drill 8mm holes, insert the supplied plugs and secure with the supplied screws; Burg-Wächter notes that some wall types need special dowels for a secure anchor.
