Frequently Asked Questions
- What is included in this trade pack?
This SKU is supplied as a box of ten complete push/pull plate full sets. Each full set includes a concealed-fix plain push plate for the exterior, a visible-fix interior plate with a 170mm pull handle, and fixing screws. - What is the difference between concealed and visible fix?
Concealed-fix plates have studs with internal threads in each corner and are fixed from the opposite side of the door, leaving the visible face of the plate free of fixings. Visible-fix plates have countersunk holes on the face of the plate and are fixed back to back through the door. - Why is this set asymmetric in fixing style?
The exterior push side is configured as a concealed-fix plain plate, which provides a cleaner appearance on the pushing side where no handle is present. The interior pull side uses visible fix countersunk screws to securely mount the pull handle through the plate. Both plates are installed back to back through the door. - Does this pack fit all door thicknesses?
Standard fixings suit doors 35mm to 45mm thick. For doors 45mm to 55mm thick, long fixing screws SP2000-208 must be specified and ordered separately. - Is this set handed?
No. The 216CONPPSS is reversible and can be installed on either left or right hand doors.
Additional Information
- Trade Pack Format:
This SKU is a bulk trade pack. Individual plates and function-specific variants from the 216/217 Series (including cylinder, turn snib, emergency turn and engraving options) are available as separate single-unit SKUs in the Lockwood 2000 Series format. - Slim-Profile Plate:
The 216/217 Series plate is 65mm wide, making it the narrower counterpart to the 214/215 Series (100mm wide). The slim profile is commonly specified on corridor doors and internal office doors where a compact plate is preferred. - Asymmetric Fixing:
The concealed-fix exterior push plate and visible-fix interior pull plate are designed as a matched pair. Concealed fix studs on the push plate align with countersunk holes on the pull plate for back-to-back installation. - Thicker Doors:
Standard fixings suit doors 35mm to 45mm thick. For doors between 45mm and 55mm, long fixing screws (part SP2000-208) must be specified at time of ordering. - Mortice Lock Compatibility:
The 216/217 Series is designed for use with Lockwood 3570 Synergy Series and 3770 Selector Series mortice locks. Other mortice locks should be confirmed for compatibility prior to installation. - Fire Door Applications:
Where a fire rating is required, buyers should confirm that the specific plate configuration, mortice lock, door leaf and frame comprise an approved tested fire doorset assembly. Fire performance is system-based and cannot be attributed to the plate in isolation. - Maintenance:
Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners, acidic cleaners and scouring pads which may damage the satin stainless steel finish.
Lockwood branded products purchased new in Australia from authorised resellers are covered against defects in materials and workmanship for:
