The Yale YL16/PRI/SC is a privacy function lever set from the Yale Commercial Series cylindrical lockset range. The privacy function allows the inside lever to operate a button or turnsnib that locks the outside lever, preventing entry from outside while the room is in use. The inside lever always provides free egress. Emergency access from outside is possible using a coin or emergency release tool.
With a 60mm backset, it suits standard Australian door preparations. Satin Chrome finish.

Yale Commercial Series cylindrical locksets have been successfully tested for up to 2 hours fire resistance on approved door assemblies in accordance with AS1905.1. Fire rating applies to the complete doorset configuration and not the lockset as a standalone item.

- How does the privacy function work?
From inside, the user presses or turns the privacy button or snib on the inside lever assembly. This locks the outside lever so it cannot be turned to open the door. The inside lever always remains free to open the door regardless of whether the privacy function is engaged. To release the privacy lock from outside in an emergency, a coin or small tool is inserted into the release slot on the outside lever rose. - Can someone enter from outside when the privacy button is engaged?
Not with the lever alone. However, the privacy function includes an emergency outside access point - typically a small slot on the outside rose that can be operated with a coin or flat-head tool. - Return the product securely packed to protect it in transit, together with your proof of purchase and your name, address, email and phone number.
- ASSA ABLOY assesses the claim. Where the warranty applies, they will (at their option) repair the product, replace it with the same or closest equivalent Yale product, or refund the price you paid.
Claims made directly to ASSA ABLOY require a Case Number from their Customer Service Department before goods are returned - products sent back without a Case Number may not be accepted. Costs of returning a product are the customer's responsibility.
