Wolflok Pro Maximum Security Mechanical Key Safe — 2.2kg

The Wolflok Pro 960071 is the flagship maximum-security mechanical key lock box in the Wolflok range. Tested and rated to both LPS1175 Issue 8 A10 and B1 by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), it is the most secure mechanical key storage device of its class available in Australia. Like all Wolflok products, it requires no power supply, no internet connection, and no app — a mechanical key safe works entirely through a physical combination, providing reliable independent key access at any hour.

The Pro's defining difference from the standard Wolflok is its triple-wall construction combined with a hardened stainless steel internal liner — an additional layer of reinforcement that enables the B1 security rating when mounted with the included WFK001FK XL Security Screws and Wall Plugs on brick, concrete, stone, or rendered walls. Additional hardened anti-saw pins and coned anti-drill hinge pins further reinforce the unit against sustained physical attack.

The Pro shares the same patented world-first multi-push keypad as the standard Wolflok — each of the ten buttons usable up to four times, generating over 9.7 million code combinations. The illuminated soft-touch keypad and internal vault light provide full visibility at night without any external power source, and the vault opens normally even if the illumination battery is flat. Two screw kits are included in the box: the WFK311 standard screws for A10 certification, and the WFK001FK XL kit for B1 certification on rendered and concrete surfaces.

Outdoor
All-Weather Outdoor Design
Wolflok Pro is built from zinc alloy known for its corrosion and attack resistance, with an additional stainless steel internal liner. The included ABS plastic weather cover provides an extra barrier against rain, UV, and dust, and contributes to the product's IP55 ingress protection rating. Fully operational from −30°C to 50°C and resistant to 96% relative humidity — tested in salt mist conditions at 35°C. Suitable for coastal Queensland installations.

Wolflok Pro illuminated keypad — soft-touch backlit buttons glowing green at night
Illuminated Keypad & Vault — Day and Night Access
Wolflok Pro's patented illumination technology backlights all ten keypad buttons and the internal vault the moment you activate it — no torch needed at night. The 7mm soft-touch buttons are large enough for easy use by all ages, in any light condition.

The illumination is powered by a single replaceable Renata CR2032 coin cell battery, rated for 2 years or 2,000 cycles. Importantly, the vault is fully mechanical — if the battery goes flat, the keypad and vault light simply won't illuminate, but the lock still opens normally with the correct code. You are never locked out due to a flat battery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the A10 and B1 ratings, and which screw kit should I use?

Both ratings are LPS1175 Issue 8 certifications from the LPCB. B1 is the higher standard — it requires the unit to resist a sustained physical attack for a longer duration than A10. The Wolflok Pro achieves A10 with the supplied WFK311 standard screws on brick, concrete, stone, or single-skin walls. It achieves B1 with the supplied WFK001FK XL screws and wall plugs on brick, concrete, stone, or rendered walls (render up to 20mm). For most residential applications A10 is sufficient; for commercial, security service, or high-risk premises, use the WFK001FK kit to achieve B1. Full guidance on which screws to use for which surface type.

What's the difference between the Wolflok Pro and the standard Wolflok?

The standard Wolflok (960064) uses double-wall zinc alloy construction and achieves LPS1175 A10. The Wolflok Pro (this product) adds a third wall layer, a hardened stainless steel internal vault liner, and additional anti-saw pins, raising its weight from 2.1kg to 2.2kg and enabling the B1 certification. The Pro also includes both screw kits in the box. Both models share the same external dimensions, keypad, illumination system, and code mechanism — choose the Pro where the B1 rating or rendered wall installation is required.

Can I use the WFK001FK XL screws on a single-skin wall?

No. The 100mm WFK001FK screws and wall plugs may cause structural damage to single-skin walls. For single-skin walls, use the WFK311 standard screws instead (A10 certification maintained on single-skin). See the full installation guidance in the supplied instruction manual or our guide to when DIY installation is appropriate.

How do I set or change the code?

The code is set using the WFK898 code change tool (included, stored inside the vault). Open the vault, remove the internal cover to expose the code dials, and use the amber tool to set each dial to the number of times that digit appears in your code. Any digit not used is set to zero; each digit can be used up to four times. Full walkthrough: How to Code Wolflok and Wolflok Pro.

What if I lose or forget the code?

There is no master override, reset code, or manufacturer recovery function. If the code is completely unknown, the unit must be professionally removed and the vault mechanism will be damaged in the process. This is by design — no backdoor means no attack vector. Always record your code in a secure location separate from the key safe. Gold Coast Smart Locks does not hold codes.

Additional Information

Installation Rules That Protect the LPS1175 Rating
Both A10 and B1 ratings require strict compliance with the installation instructions. Key rules: drill only into the brick face, never mortar; maintain at least 150mm from any wall edge or corner; the unit must sit flat to the wall; use the paper marking template (not the unit) as your drilling guide; press wall plugs flush before driving XL screws; hand-tighten the final turn only — never over-torque with a power tool. Screws are single-use — order fresh WFK001FK or WFK311 before reinstalling. Unsure about your wall type? See when DIY installation is appropriate.
Coastal and High-UV Queensland Installations
The Wolflok Pro's zinc alloy body, stainless steel liner, and IP55 rating make it well-suited to coastal installations. The ABS weather cover provides an additional barrier against salt air and UV, but in north or west-facing positions the cover may show UV degradation before the body itself requires attention. See our guide to coastal key safe maintenance and outdoor grade-C considerations for coastal hardware.

Mechanical Key Safe vs Smart Lock — Which Is Right?
The Wolflok Pro is the right choice when certified physical security and independent key access are the priority — with no dependence on power, internet, or a mobile device. For property managers or Airbnb hosts who need full access automation, remote code management, or PMS integration, a smart lock may be more appropriate. See how a Bluetooth key safe compares and our guide to mechanical key safe best practice.
Placement Advice
Choose a wall location not directly visible from a public street or neighbour's window. Avoid south-facing walls where moisture may pool. Position at approximately 1.0–1.4m from ground level for comfortable one-handed keypad operation. Never label or tag the key safe with the property address — keys stored inside should also be untagged.

How to Make a Claim

For full returns and warranty claim procedures, visit our Returns & Warranty page — this is kept up to date and is the authoritative reference for current claim steps.
  1. Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries (trading as Gold Coast Smart Locks) in the first instance — do not contact the manufacturer directly for warranty claims.
  2. Have your proof of purchase ready (order confirmation or receipt).
  3. Describe the fault clearly, including the product model (Wolflok or Wolflok Pro) and when the issue first appeared.
  4. If directed to return the product, ensure it is securely packaged. Do not attempt disassembly — this may void the warranty.

Extend Your Warranty to 5 Years — Free Registration

It's worth taking 2 minutes to register your Wolflok.
Registering extends the mechanical parts warranty from 2 years to 5 years at no cost. The registration form at wolflok.com/product-registration is set up for Australian buyers — just select Australia as your country, enter your product model and date of purchase, and you're done. No registration deadline is stated, so you can register at any time after purchase.

Note: The 5-year extension applies to mechanical parts only. The illumination module remains covered for 2 years regardless of registration, and batteries are excluded from all warranty coverage.

Exclusions

The following are not covered under the Wolflok warranty:

  • Damage caused by modification of the product — any modification voids warranty
  • Damage resulting from installation not carried out in accordance with the supplied instructions (including use of incorrect fixings or surface types)
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Batteries (user-replaceable consumables)
  • The illumination module beyond 2 years (not covered under the 5-year extended registration)
  • Damage caused by conditions beyond the product's rated operating range

Important Notes

Correct installation is required to maintain warranty coverage.
The product must be installed and used as described in the supplied instruction manual. Security accreditation (LPS 1175) may also be invalidated if incorrect fixings or surface types are used. Do not reuse screws if reinstalling — contact your supplier for replacement fixings.

No master or reset code exists. Wolflok key lock boxes have no master or reset code function. Lost codes cannot be recovered by the manufacturer, distributor, or retailer.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
