Wolflok Maximum Security Mechanical Key Safe — 2.1kg
The Wolflok 960064 is a maximum-security mechanical key lock box built for outdoor wall mounting. Tested and rated to LPS1175 Issue 8 A10 by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB), it stores spare keys, fobs, and access cards securely on an external wall — no power supply, no internet connection, and no app required. A mechanical key safe works entirely through a physical combination: set your own code on the internal dials, and anyone who knows the code can access the keys at any time, day or night.
Wolflok's patented multi-push keypad technology is a world first: each of the ten buttons can be pressed up to four times to build a more memorable code, generating over 9.7 million possible combinations — more than any other mechanical key storage device on the market. The 7mm soft-touch illuminated buttons and internal vault light mean reliable access at any hour without a torch, and the double-wall zinc alloy construction with strategically positioned anti-saw reinforcement pins and coned anti-drill hinge pins delivers the physical attack resistance that earned the LPCB rating.
Designed and developed through extensive customer feedback, the Wolflok 960064 is suitable for domestic homes, rental properties, Airbnb hosts, security services, key holding agencies, facilities managers, remote sites, and anyone who needs a reliable, independently accessible key storage solution at an external wall.
Wolflok is built from zinc alloy known for its corrosion and attack resistance. The included ABS plastic weather cover provides an additional barrier against rain, UV, and dust, and contributes to the product's IP55 ingress protection rating. Fully operational from −30°C to 50°C and resistant to 96% relative humidity — tested in salt mist conditions at 35°C. Suitable for coastal Queensland installations.
Wolflok's attack resistance isn't just a certification number — it has been physically demonstrated on video. Watch the Wolflok survive a sledgehammer, flamethrower, high-pressure water blaster, tractor crush, and more.

Wolflok's patented illumination technology backlights all ten keypad buttons and the internal vault the moment you activate it — no torch needed at night. The 7mm soft-touch buttons are large enough for easy use by all ages, in any light condition.
The illumination is powered by a single replaceable Renata CR2032 coin cell battery, rated for 2 years or 2,000 cycles. Importantly, the vault is fully mechanical — if the battery goes flat, the keypad and vault light simply won't illuminate, but the lock still opens normally with the correct code. You are never locked out due to a flat battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I set or change the code?
The code is set using the WFK898 code change tool (included and stored inside the vault). Open the vault, remove the internal cover to expose the code dials, and use the amber tool to turn each dial to the number of times that digit appears in your chosen code. Any digit not in your code is set to zero. Each digit can be used up to four times. A full walkthrough is available at How to Code Wolflok and Wolflok Pro. Always store the code change tool inside the vault — it is stored there by design as a security measure.
What does LPS1175 A10 mean, and why does it matter?
LPS1175 is the UK Loss Prevention Standard for physical attack resistance, issued by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) — a world-recognised independent testing body operated by BRE. Issue 8 A10 is the rating achieved by the Wolflok when mounted with the supplied WFK311 screws on brick, concrete, stone, or single-skin walls. This is the rating recommended by police and insurers for key safes used in residential and commercial security applications. The rating is contingent on correct installation — see the installation guide or when DIY installation is appropriate.
What's the difference between the Wolflok and the Wolflok Pro?
Both models share the same external dimensions, keypad, illumination system, and code mechanism. The Wolflok Pro (960071) adds a third wall layer and a stainless steel internal vault liner, which increases its weight to 2.2kg and enables the higher LPS1175 B1 security rating when installed with the included XL screw kit (WFK001FK) on brick, concrete, or rendered walls. The Pro also includes both the WFK311 and WFK001FK screw kits in the box. Choose the standard Wolflok for residential and general commercial applications; choose the Wolflok Pro where the higher B1 rating is required.
What if I lose or forget the code?
There is no master override, reset code, or manufacturer recovery function. If the current code is completely unknown, the unit must be professionally removed and the vault mechanism will be damaged in the process. This is by design — no backdoor means no attack vector. Always record your code in a secure location separate from the key safe itself. Gold Coast Smart Locks does not hold codes.
Can I install the Wolflok on a rendered or timber wall?
For rendered masonry (render up to 20mm deep), the supplied WFK311 screws are not recommended — use the WFK001FK XL screw kit instead (note: B1 certification with WFK001FK applies to the Wolflok Pro only). For timber, the WFK311 screws can be used but LPS1175 certification is not maintained on wood. For guidance on surface suitability, see our installation guide or when DIY installation is appropriate.
Additional Information
The A10 rating requires correct installation. Drill only into the brick face, never mortar. Maintain at least 150mm from any wall edge or corner. The unit must sit flat — do not install on uneven surfaces. Use the supplied paper marking template (not the unit itself) as your drilling guide. Drive screws by power drill and hand-tighten the final turn only — never over-torque with a power tool. Screws are single-use; order new WFK311 screws before reinstalling. Unsure about your wall type? See when DIY installation is appropriate.
The Wolflok's zinc alloy body and IP55 rating make it suitable for coastal installations. The ABS weather cover provides an additional barrier against salt air and UV radiation, but in north or west-facing high-sun positions the cover may show signs of UV degradation before the body. See our guide to coastal key safe maintenance, and refer to the outdoor grade-C considerations for coastal-rated hardware.
The Wolflok is an ideal solution when reliable independent key access is required without any dependence on power, internet, or a mobile device. It is particularly well-suited to Airbnb hosts who manage occasional bookings, as a backup key access for households with a smart lock, or for any location where infrastructure is unreliable. For Airbnb hosts who need full automation, automated check-in, or PMS integration, a smart lock may be a better fit — see how a Bluetooth key safe compares and our guide to mechanical key safe best practice.
Choose a wall location that is not directly visible from a public street or neighbour's window. Avoid south-facing walls where moisture may pool behind the unit. Position at a comfortable height (approximately 1.0–1.4m from ground level) so the keypad can be operated easily with one hand. Never label or tag the key safe with the property address — keys inside should also be untagged.
