This McGrath adjustable backset bolt is a mechanical deadbolt component designed to suit the McGrath X3 digital deadbolt. It allows the backset to be set to either 60mm or 70mm.

This product is a mechanical bolt component only. It does not include the full deadbolt assembly or any electronics.

The adjustable design lets you configure the bolt to suit existing door preparation. If you are unsure which backset your door uses, see measuring your lock backset.

What does adjustable backset mean?
The bolt can be set to either 60mm or 70mm to match your door preparation without re-drilling. See Chapter 02 - Measuring Your Door.
Does this include the full deadbolt?
No. This is the mechanical bolt component only, designed to suit the McGrath X3 deadbolt. It does not include the electronic deadbolt assembly.
Which lock does it suit?
It is designed for the McGrath X3 digital deadbolt. For X3 spares, see the X3 key blank and the X3 keyed-to-differ override cylinder.
Is this the same as the Ashgrove / Kedron bolt?
No. Those locks use the adjustable 60/70mm bolt for Kedron, Ashgrove and Grange. This bolt is specific to the X3 deadbolt.

  1. Contact Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd and its associated websites, trading names, and subsidiaries (the place of purchase) within the applicable warranty period.

  4. You may be asked to return the product for assessment before a remedy is determined.
  5. McGrath Locks will, at their discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same or an equivalent model, or provide a refund of the purchase price.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Products that have been disassembled
  • Damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, modification, or accident
  • Installation by unlicensed persons (including non-licensed locksmiths or technicians)
  • Products not used in accordance with the supplied instructions
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
  • Labour or installation costs related to the removal or reinstallation of products
  • Exposure to conditions outside normal environmental use
  • Work completed before warranty approval
  • Damage caused by battery leakage, battery failure, or force majeure
