Lockwood Vivid Cavity Sliding Door Edge Pull
The Lockwood Vivid Edge Pull is a sliding door handle fitted to the edge of the door rather than the face. It is suited to internal pocket and cavity doors that are fully pocketed into the wall, where the door face is inaccessible when the door is fully open and a face-mounted flush pull cannot be reached.
The edge pull is positioned flush with the door edge, allowing the door to be drawn from the cavity by gripping the fitting at the door edge. All visible surfaces are 304 stainless steel, available with PVD surface treatment in three Vivid Collection finishes or in a standard Stainless Steel finish.
Available Finish Options
Satin Brass PVD
Satin Gun Metal PVD
Satin Bronze PVD
Stainless Steel
Finish selection does not affect functionality or performance. PVD finishes are applied over 304 stainless steel. The Stainless Steel variant is not a PVD finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between an edge pull and a flush pull?
A flush pull (VIVFP2-150) is recessed into the face of the door panel and is used on doors where the face remains accessible. An edge pull is fitted at the door edge and is used on fully pocketed doors where the face is inaccessible when the door is fully open. - Is the edge pull typically used singly or in pairs?
Typically one edge pull is used per door, as it provides access from either side at the door edge. Confirm with your installer based on your specific door and frame configuration. - What is the difference between the Stainless Steel variant (VIVEP2/SS) and the PVD variants?
The Stainless Steel variant is a standard brushed stainless steel finish without a PVD colour treatment. The PVD variants (SB, GM, BZ) feature a coloured PVD coating over stainless steel for coordinated Vivid Collection aesthetics. - Does the edge pull provide a locking or privacy function?
No. The edge pull is a non-locking pull handle only. For a privacy function, refer to the Vivid Privacy Cavity Slider (VIVCAV2). - Is specialist installation required?
Yes. Accurate door edge preparation is required for a flush fit. A qualified carpenter or installer should route the door edge recess to the correct dimensions.
Additional Information
- Stainless Steel Variant: The VIVEP2/SS variant is supplied in a standard stainless steel finish and is not a PVD-treated product. It may not match the appearance of the PVD-finished Vivid Collection products exactly. Select this variant only where a standard stainless finish is required.
- Pocket Door Applications: Fully pocketed cavity doors are commonly installed in residential renovations where the wall has been modified to house a sliding door. The edge pull is the correct hardware choice for these applications.
- Finish Coordination: PVD variants (SB, GM, BZ) are available across the full Vivid Collection range, enabling consistent finish selection across all hardware in a room or home.
