Lockwood 1220 Symphony Through Fix Escutcheon Kit - Oval Cylinder and Oval Turnknob
The Lockwood 1226/7N is a through fix escutcheon kit from the 1220 Symphony Series, combining an Oval Cylinder escutcheon on the exterior with an Oval Turnknob escutcheon on the interior.
This is one of the most commonly specified configurations in the 1220 Symphony Through Fix range. Keyed entry is provided from the exterior via the oval cylinder, while the interior Oval Turnknob allows the door to be locked from inside without a key. The non-indicating design means there is no external visual indicator of lock status.
Through fix kits are optimised for use with Lockwood Selector 3770 Series Mortice Locks and PT Mortice Locks. Installation uses two M4 x 64mm stainless steel screws. Non-handed. Suits 32-45mm doors as standard.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between 1226/7N and 1226/7P?
The 1226/7N has a non-indicating interior turnknob with no external lock status display. The 1226/7P has a privacy indicating turnknob that displays a red/green signal on the exterior. Choose 1226/7P where an occupied/vacant indicator is required. - Does the 1226/7N work with the 6260 Privacy Bolt?
No. The 1226 oval cylinder range is not compatible with the Lockwood 6260 Privacy Bolt. For privacy bolt applications, specify from the 1228 emergency turn range. - Is this kit compatible with Synergy 3570 Series Mortice Locks?
No. Through fix kits suit Selector 3770 Series and PT Mortice Locks only. For Synergy 3570 Series locks, use surface-mounted escutcheons such as the 1226/I. - Can the door be exited from inside without a key?
The escutcheon kit does not control free egress - this is determined by the mortice lock function. The interior Oval Turnknob operates the turnknob function of the lock. Confirm lock function with the mortice lock specification. - Can this kit be used on doors thicker than 45mm?
Extended tail bars are available separately for doors thicker than 45mm.
Additional Information
- Non-Indicating Design:
The 1226/7N has no external occupied/vacant indicator. If a privacy indicator is required, the 1226/7P should be specified instead. - Through Fix vs Surface Mount:
Through fix kits use a single pair of through-bolts. Surface-mounted escutcheons (1226/I) fix to each face with wood screws and suit Synergy 3570 Series locks. - 6260 Privacy Bolt Incompatibility:
The 1226 oval cylinder range is not compatible with the Lockwood 6260 Privacy Bolt. If privacy bolt compatibility is required, specify from the 1228 emergency turn range. - Finish Range:
The 1226/7N is available in a wide range including special finishes such as Architectural Bronze and Oil Rubbed Bronze. Confirm lead times for special finishes before specifying.
