Lockton StrikePak⢠PE8 Extra Packer (8mm Thick) - Silver
The Lockton STPK-PE8-SIL StrikePak⢠PE8 Extra Packer in Silver is a 8mm anodised aluminium packer plate for the StrikePak system - a modular, stackable arrangement that bridges oversized gaps between the door and frame so the latch engages the strike reliably.
The PE8 packer is used together with the STPK-MP4-SIL StrikePak⢠Main Strike Plate Kit, stacking behind the main plate to add a further 8mm of offset for precise on-site adjustment. It is designed specifically for Australian mortice locks, including narrow-stile and 60mm body formats, and suits 23, 30, 60 and 95mm backset lock bodies.

- Suits Australian mortice locks, including narrow-stile and 60mm body formats
- Anodised aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal environments
- Matches the footprint and fixing pattern of the StrikePak⢠main plate

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes - the PE8 Extra Packer stacks behind the StrikePak⢠Main Strike Plate Kit, which supplies the strike plate and the screw pack. The extra packer is not designed to be fitted on its own.
Yes. The 2mm, 4mm and 8mm packers share the same footprint and fixing pattern, so they stack together behind the main plate to reach the required offset.
Australian mortice locks with 23, 30, 60 and 95mm backsets, including narrow-stile and 60mm body formats.
No - this listing is the packer plate only. The main kit's screw pack includes 30mm and 40mm screws for both timber and metal frames; confirm screw length is sufficient once packers are stacked.
Lockton does not publish a fire rating for the StrikePak⢠range. On a fire-rated doorset, any change to the strike arrangement should be confirmed with your certifier before installation.
Additional Information
Measure before you order: with the door closed, the gap between the latch face and the existing strike tells you the total packing thickness required. A latch that only just catches the strike is a common source of callbacks - doors flex in service, so aim for full, positive engagement rather than a marginal fit.
Packers stack behind the main plate against the frame, with the strike plate outermost. After stacking, check that the screws still achieve solid purchase in the frame - the 40mm screws in the main kit are intended for deeper stacked assemblies. The anodised aluminium plates will not rust, which makes the system suitable for coastal Gold Coast conditions where plated steel packers commonly corrode.
