FAQ icon Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this the complete top centre assembly?
No. DO8066L is the lower portion of the Dorma Top Centre 8066 assembly.
  • What floor spring range does this suit?
It is listed as suiting the Dorma BTS series floor spring systems.
  • What should be checked during installation or replacement?
Confirm the door preparation depth and alignment. Misalignment between the top centre and floor spring spindle can cause binding and early bearing wear.

Book icon Additional Information

  • This part is typically used where the door top rail or frame profile depth requires adjustment to achieve correct pivot alignment.
  • If the door has a deeper profile than standard preparation, the extended pin option (plus 10 millimetres) is commonly used to avoid poor engagement.
  • Needle bearings are commonly chosen for high-cycle commercial doors because they handle side loading better than plain bushings when the door is correctly aligned.
