FAQ icon Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the turnsnib AS1428.1 compliant?
The supplied information states the lever is AS1428.1 compliant, but the turnsnib is not.
  • What lock series is this designed to suit?
It is designed for use with dormakaba DKMS2602SSS series locks.
  • Does the fire testing mean it will suit every fire doorset?
The supplied information states testing up to 4 hours depending on the doorset. Fire door suitability is typically dependent on the complete doorset approval and hardware schedule for that specific door.

Additional information icon Additional Information

  • Plate furniture with a turnsnib is commonly used on internal doors where the lock function is controlled locally, such as amenities, meeting rooms, and staff only areas.
  • On high use doors, installers typically check that the turnsnib rotates freely without binding against the door face, especially if the door leaf has deep rebates or seals.
  • For fire and smoke door applications, hardware selection is usually signed off against the doorset evidence, as the doorset construction and preparation can affect the allowable hardware set.
