Austral Lock – Warranty & Terms of Guarantee (Summary)

Austral Lock products are supplied under the manufacturer's Terms of Guarantee issued by Austral Lock Pty Ltd (part of the Allegion group). These terms define warranty coverage, defect reporting requirements, liability limitations and return conditions for goods supplied through authorised distributors and retailers.

Warranty Overview
Austral Lock products may include manufacturer warranties covering defects in materials and workmanship where the product has been installed correctly and used under normal operating conditions.

Inspection & Defect Reporting

• Products must be inspected upon delivery.
• Visible damage, shortages or incorrect items should be reported within 14 days of delivery.
• If defects are discovered later they should be reported as soon as reasonably possible.
• The supplier must be given the opportunity to inspect the goods before a claim is processed.

Warranty Limitations

• The supplier does not provide additional warranties beyond those required by law unless explicitly stated.
• Where the product is manufactured by a third party, the warranty may be limited to the original manufacturer’s warranty.
• Remedies may include repair, replacement or refund where permitted by law.
• Warranty coverage may not extend to labour costs or consequential losses.

Common Warranty Exclusions

• Improper installation or failure to follow installation instructions.
• Failure to maintain the product correctly.
• Use outside intended applications.
• Damage caused by environmental exposure or misuse.

Returns Policy
