The HID iCLASS + MIFARE Classic Dual Format Card (2420CMGGNNN) carries two 13.56 MHz technologies in one thin white card from HID: iCLASS 2k bit and MIFARE Classic 1K. It suits a site that runs both kinds of reader, or one moving from one to the other - see Compatible Readers.
Each card is programmed to your site before dispatch - your card format, facility code and numbers - and programming is included in the price. We collect those details on an order form after you order, so have them ready. This is a special order item.

- Card format - 26-bit (H10301) is the most common; tell us if your site uses another format
- Facility / Site Code - the facility or site code your panel is set up for
- Start Number and End Number - the number range you need, chosen so it does not clash with credentials already in use
- Offset (if any)
- ICE / Elite Key (if any) - only where your site runs its own HID Elite key
- Order quantity and a site reference (if applicable)

- Two technologies, one card - iCLASS 2k bit (256 bytes) with two application areas, and MIFARE Classic 1K arranged in 16 sectors.
- ISO thickness - 85.7 x 54.0 x 0.84 mm, for use with direct image and thermal transfer card printers.
- Composite card - 60% PET and 40% PVC, plain white gloss on both sides.
- No slot punch - HID's dual high frequency cards cannot be slot punched, because of the antenna design. Use a badge holder.
- Programmed for your site - each card is programmed with the format, facility code and number your panel expects, at no extra charge. The number is programmed in, not printed on the card. See Programming Details.

Compatible Readers
The card's iCLASS side works with HID readers that read iCLASS, and its MIFARE Classic side with readers that read MIFARE Classic. From our range:
HID Signo readers read iCLASS in their Smart and Standard profiles, and MIFARE Classic in the Standard Profile, or in the Smart Profile where the card carries HID's Secure Identity Object - the Seos Profile reads neither. Each reader page's credential section has the detail. HID gives this card a typical maximum read range of 5 to 7.6 cm for iCLASS and 2.5 to 7.6 cm for MIFARE Classic (page 2 of the dual high frequency cards datasheet (PDF)); it varies with the reader and the installation.

Additional Information
- Card format matters. A new card, fob or tag only works once its format, facility code and number range match what your panel expects. Have those details ready when you order credentials.
- Choose your number range with care. HID's open 26-bit format has 255 facility codes with 65,535 card numbers in each, and HID does not track who orders which numbers, so a duplicate is possible. Start a new batch above the highest number already in use on your site.
- Elite and Corporate 1000 sites. If your site runs its own HID Elite key or is on HID's Corporate 1000 program, tell us before you order so the cards can be matched to it.
- Check the MIFARE side with us. We program the iCLASS side to your site's details. What the MIFARE Classic side needs depends on your MIFARE system - some read only the card's UID and others need their own data written to the card - so tell us which readers the card has to work on before you order.
- Allow for lead time. This is a special order item and it is programmed for your site, so contact us for an estimated dispatch time before you order.

Proof of purchase required for all claims.

HID branded readers, credentials and accessories are covered by warranties issued by HID Global Corporation and its affiliated entities (part of ASSA ABLOY), distributed in Australia by LSC. Most HID readers and HID-branded credentials carry lifetime cover; a small number of specific models and accessories carry a fixed term instead.

Understanding "Lifetime" Cover
HID's published policy uses the term "Lifetime Warranty Period" without defining it further - it is not stated as a fixed number of years, "for the life of the product", or "as long as you own it". It applies for as long as HID continues to honour that stated period under its published policy.

- Where a claim needs to be escalated, HID requires written notice from the end customer within the applicable warranty period - we handle this notification on your behalf.
- HID's remedy, at its own option, is to repair the product, replace it, or issue a credit towards a future purchase.
- Postage, insurance and shipping costs to present hardware for warranty assessment are the end customer's responsibility under HID's policy - we'll advise what's needed before anything is sent.

This warranty does not cover, and will be voided by, any of the following:
- Installation by anyone other than HID or an HID-authorised installer
- Use other than as authorised in HID's own documentation
- Modification, alteration or repair by a party other than HID
- Combination with hardware, operating systems or tools not provided by HID
