FAQ icon Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does “fits 13 mm rebate” mean?
It means this kit is made for rebated double doors where the meeting stiles step by 13 mm, allowing the lock edge hardware to sit neatly across the rebate.
  • Does this suit other dormakaba mortice locks?
This model is specified to suit the dormakaba MS2602 latching series. If your lock is a different series, the rebate kit may not align correctly.
  • What is a common installation mistake to avoid?
Ordering a rebate kit for the wrong rebate depth is common. Measure the door rebate first, then match the kit to that rebate size.

Additional information icon Additional Information

  • Rebate kits are commonly specified on rebated double doors to maintain a continuous, protected edge where the lock and latch operate.
  • Before installation, dry-fit the kit to confirm it sits flat across the rebate and does not foul the latch movement.
  • If you are replacing an older kit, compare overall length and hole placement before removing the existing hardware to reduce door re-work.
