FAQ icon Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this an overload protection device?
No. It limits opening during normal use but it is not designed to replace a proper door stop where impact loads are high.
  • Do I need this on a fire door?
Yes, it is required for fire rated door configurations when using compatible TS91, TS92 or TS93 slide rail closers.
  • Can it be retrofitted into an existing slide rail?
Yes, it can be added later by sliding it into the compatible slide channel.

Book icon Additional Information

  • In corridors and small rooms, limiting the opening angle helps reduce damage to plaster, glazing and adjacent hardware.
  • If the door is frequently forced beyond the stop point, a floor or wall mounted door stop is usually still required.
  • Set the limitation angle during commissioning so the door clears handles and latches without striking nearby walls.
