Helpful Tips

  • Clutching mechanism: The turnknob includes a clutching tailbar that allows the cylinder to retract the bolt even if the turnknob is held from the inside - standard for detention applications.
  • Handing: Determined by which side the hinges are on when facing the door from outside. Left Hand = hinges on the left. Confirm handing before ordering.
  • Flush pull minimum door thickness: 50mm minimum door thickness is required when fitting flush pulls back to back.
  • Refurbishment use: This square plate is designed to cover the existing fixing hole pattern of Artefact 200 Series furniture.
  • Fixing screws: Standard 35-45mm fixing screws supplied. For thicker doors (45-55mm) order Torx anti-tamper (220D11/55) or standard (220D12/55) screws separately.
  • Non-returnable: Confirm function, handing and suitability before ordering. Detention Series items are manufactured to order.
