The Lockwood 001-3053SP Metal Frame Strike is the strike a Lockwood 001 or 002 series deadlatch needs when the door closes into a metal door frame. It is the one to order with a Lockwood 002DX keypad deadlatch going onto a metal-framed door: the 002-1LDXSC (lever inside) and the 002-1KDXSC (knob inside), both for doors that open inwards.
Both of those locks ship with a timber frame strike in the box (the Lockwood 001-3653SP), so a timber frame needs nothing extra. A metal frame takes this strike instead, and some buyers prefer it in any case - add it to your basket with the lock. It is a genuine Lockwood part in Satin Chrome Pearl, and it also suits the Lockwood 001 Double Cylinder Deadlatch.

This strike is for inward-opening doors in metal frames, and the two 002DX locks we stock it for are both the open-in configurations. The 002DX also comes in two open-out configurations - the 002DX Item Code Family table puts all four side by side. Can I fit it myself?

- Order it with the lock: the strike is its own listing, so it goes into the basket separately - it is not added automatically when you buy a 002DX keypad deadlatch.
- Which 002DX is which: the 002-1LDXSC has a lever on the inside face and the 002-1KDXSC has a knob. Both are for doors that open inwards, and both take this strike on a metal frame.

Finish Coverage Guide
- Everbrass finishes: up to 25 years against corrosion, tarnishing and discolouration.
- Stainless steel, polished stainless steel, chrome plating and anodised finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- PVD and VIVID finishes: typically up to 10 years.
- Symmetry range finishes: typically up to 5 years.
- Decorative finishes (Antique Copper, Architectural Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Aged Brass, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and related variants): typically up to 2 years against corrosion.
- Unlacquered brass finishes naturally age and change appearance over time. This is not considered a defect.
- Tea staining of stainless steel is not covered where the required cleaning and maintenance have not been followed.
