  • Electronic Components: Where products include electronic or battery-powered components, a 3-year electronic warranty applies. Batteries are excluded from warranty coverage.
  • PADDE & Electric Mortice Locks: A 5-year warranty applies to PADDE electric strikes and Lockwood electric mortice locks.
  • Keys & Cylinders: Supplied keys carry a 12-month warranty. Cylinders are covered under Lockwood’s general mechanical warranty terms.

    • Stainless Steel, Chrome Plate, Anodised Aluminium: 10 years
    • PVD Coatings (incl. Vivid Series): 10 years

    Note: Natural ageing and patina of brass finishes (e.g. Architectural Bronze Unlacquered, Satin Brass Unlacquered) are expected characteristics and are excluded from warranty.
  • Exclusions: Warranty does not cover:
    • Damage caused by incorrect installation or misuse.
    • Failure to follow Lockwood’s recommended maintenance and cleaning instructions (particularly in coastal or corrosive environments).
    • Natural surface changes such as “tea staining” on stainless steel if cleaning schedules are not maintained.
    • Products modified outside Lockwood’s specifications.

  • Everbrass finishes: up to 25 years against corrosion, tarnishing and discolouration.
  • Stainless steel, polished stainless steel, chrome plating and anodised finishes: typically up to 10 years.
  • Decorative finishes including Antique Copper, Architectural Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Aged Brass, Polished Brass, Satin Brass and related variants: typically up to 2 years against corrosion.
  • Unlacquered brass finishes will naturally age and change appearance over time. This is not considered a defect.
  • Tea staining of stainless steel is not covered where cleaning and maintenance have not been followed.
