The Lockwood 3579HSELM0SC is a high security primary electric mortice lock with a 60 mm backset, designed for fail safe operation on the internal side while remaining secure externally. Manufactured in Australia, the lock body is encapsulated with stainless steel plates and fitted with a stainless steel latch bolt and faceplate, making it highly resistant to tampering and suited for commercial high-security installations. The lock integrates with access control systems including card readers, keypads, intercoms and key switches, and is commonly paired with an electric strike.

The 3579HS series is designed to maintain security on the external side at all times, while providing internal emergency egress in fire alarm or break glass events. In such cases, power is cut, unlocking the internal side only. An electric strike must always be used in conjunction with this lock, as the external side cannot be electrically released.
