Whitco Diecast Sliding Window Lock - Timber Strike - Keyed Lockable

The Whitco Diecast Sliding Window Lock is a lockable window fastener for residential sliding windows. It combines a pull and locking function in a single zinc diecast body, with a keyed cylinder for controlled locking and unlocking.

This version is supplied for timber strike applications and suits both aluminium and timber window installations where a visible fixing lock is required. The spring loaded catch provides automatic latching, while the lever action allows the lock to be opened and closed during normal window operation.

Lock Body Same Same
Strike Plate Flat aluminium strike (12mm or 16mm) Timber strike designed for direct screw fixing
Packers Often included to suit aluminium extrusions Generally not required

Additional information icon Additional Information

Strike selection matters:
Whitco lists this series separately from aluminium strike and no-strike versions. Matching the correct strike style to the window frame is important for proper engagement and replacement compatibility.

Replacement note:
When replacing an existing diecast sliding window lock, check body profile, strike type and fixing position before ordering. Similar Whitco locks may look alike but differ by strike arrangement.

Product role:
This lock acts as both a pull and a keyed fastener, which helps reduce the need for separate window pull hardware.

Keying context:
This product uses a 5 disc wafer cylinder. It should not be described as CYL4 keyed-alike hardware.
