Gliderol Warranty Overview

Gliderol products are manufactured to high quality standards and are inspected prior to leaving the factory. Warranty applies strictly in accordance with the terms outlined below.

Inspection Requirements

  • Garage doors must be inspected upon installation.
  • Inspection must be carried out in natural daylight (not direct sunlight).
  • Door must be viewed from a standard distance of 3 metres.
  • From this distance, the exterior panel should appear free from visible distortion, stains, blemishes, indentations or scuffs.
  • Marks visible only within 3 metres are not considered a warranty issue in accordance with DHF guidelines.
  • Warranty applies to the exterior view only unless otherwise stated.

Warranty Periods

  • Original Roller Door: 10 years finish*, 5 years mechanical, 2 years electrical (if applicable)
  • Insulated Roller Doors: 10 years finish*, 5 years mechanical, 5 years electrical (if applicable)
  • Sectional Doors: 10 years finish*, 2 years mechanical, 2 years electrical (if applicable)
  • Up & Over / Side Hinged Doors: 10 years finish*, 2 years mechanical, 2 years electrical (if applicable)
  • Electrical Operators: 2 years (excludes batteries, fuses and bulbs)
  • Parts: 6 months

*10 year corrosion free warranty applies to domestic or residential exterior door panel only. Excludes fading, rubbing, scratches, dents, scuffs or abrasions. No warranty applies to interior surfaces.

Important Conditions

  • Products must be serviced by an authorised retailer or dealer every 12 months.
  • Failure to service annually may invalidate warranty.
  • Proof of purchase must be supplied at time of claim.
  • Warranty excludes coastal installations within 5 miles of the sea and areas exposed to industrial fallout.
  • Warranty excludes accidental damage, impact damage, misuse, incorrect installation, incorrect maintenance or unauthorised repairs.
  • Batteries, fuses, bulbs and sensitivity adjustments are excluded.

How to Make a Claim

  • Contact the original supplying dealer or distributor.
  • Provide proof of purchase and warranty card.
  • Include product description, door type and product number.
  • Provide clear description of defect.

An inspection may be required. If no legitimate warranty claim is found, inspection costs may apply.
