Austral Lockset Ultimate – Hinged Security Door Mortice Lock (Replaces HD8)
The Austral Lockset Ultimate is a heavy-duty mortice lock for hinged security doors, designed as the direct replacement for the earlier HD8 series. It features a pivoting parrot beak bolt and Austral’s Caretaker one-way locking function for controlled external locking.
The Caretaker function allows the door to be locked from the outside using a Caretaker key, while preventing unlocking from the outside. Unlocking is always possible from the inside via the snib, or from the outside with the correct key.
